Setting up OS-COMMERCE on Brinkster

Notes: 

You will want to be on a windows hosting package.
You will need at least a professional package.
You will have need to set up your mysql database in your database manger. To do this click on create mysql database.

1.
Download the files

From:

http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/downloads
or
http://www.ki4nsf.com/os/oscommerce2.2.zip

And extract the files. 

2.
Upload the extracted Files to your site with FTP.

3.
Download the patches for the files

From:

http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2957
or
http://www.ki4nsf.com/os/oscPatchFiles_1.zip

and extract.

5.
Set permissions on the entire install folder using the new file manger.

Go to the install page

 http://your brinkster username.brinkster.net/ name of folder you are placing your install in /catalog/install/

Click install

For both the username and the database name you will need to use your brinkster username. For the password you will use your brinkster password.

Choose database for the location to store the sessions.

Click Continue
